Getting to Cairo

Cairo is a vibrant, sprawling city. Here's how to navigate it comfortably during your stay.

📱

Uber

Uber is the easiest and most reliable way to get around Cairo. It's widely available, uses GPS so you always know where you're going, and is more consistent than street taxis. Download it before you arrive.

🚕

Taxis

White taxis are available everywhere. Always agree on a price before getting in, or insist on using the meter. For short trips within Giza or downtown, they're perfectly fine.

🛬

Airport

Cairo International Airport is approximately 45–60 minutes from the Marriott Mena House in Giza, depending on traffic. Inquire with your hotel about their shuttle service.

Cairo is well connected from most major cities. The main gateway is Cairo International Airport (CAI). We recommend staying close to the Giza Plateau to be near the venue and the pyramids.
